I am a ceramic artist living between UK and France.
I have been working with clay for more than ten years, although for a long time I was also busy being a lawyer and pretending these were two completely unrelated lives.
Then life became considerably less predictable.
I left Kyiv after the war began, and somewhere along the way ceramics stopped being an escape from real life and became my way of talking about it.
Life can look perfect from the outside — polished, comfortable, almost like a luxury window display. Then life happens. The composition shifts, things crack, melt, collapse or simply refuse to behave as planned.
My work is about fragility, transformation and our slightly ridiculous attempts to control what comes next.
